Willing 2 Ninja Gymnasium

New obstacle course gym opening in Armstrong

May 7, 2025 | 10:52 AM

A facility aimed at promoting physical health in local youth will open in the North Okanagan.

A Willing 2 Ninja gymnasium will open Saturday, June 7, at a facility located at 3395 Okanagan Street in Armstrong.

The owner said in an email that the gym will allow area youth to improve strength, balance and coordination; build confidence through competence; learn to try, fail, and try again; and practice kindness, courage and doing their best.

To mark the opening of the gymnasium, a grand opening celebration will be held from 12 to 3 p.m. on June 7.

The event will feature a ninja obstacle course for the families to try out, face painting, treats, and a silent auction.

Proceeds from the auction will support the Let’s Keep Kids Moving Campaign, which sponsors local children so they can attend the Willing 2 Ninja camps. This year there will be 49 sponsored spots to give away.

Willing 2 Ninja started its operations in the North Okanagan in January of 2024, though only ran classes through local parks and recreation facilities. They moved into St. Joseph’s Hall, though all the equipment needed for the obstacle courses needed to be packed in and out daily. This new facility will allow Willing 2 Ninja to operate consistently at a permanent location.
