A large mountain biking event will be held at SilverStar in the summer, with the return of two thrilling events.

Crankworx Summer Series will be held at SilverStar Mountain Resort over the August Long Weekend.

As part of the mountain bike festival from August 1 to 4, there will be the return of the Dual Slalom and Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) Gold Level Women’s Slopestyle competitions for the second year.

“Crankworx is always a highlight on our event calendar, and we can’t wait to bring world class biking back to the Okanagan for another summer,” SilverStar’s Communications and PR Specialist, Megan Sutherland, said.

“We are especially excited to have the dual slalom race back this summer and to host for the second year running the women’s event in the FMB Gold Level Women’s Slopestyle, it really is going to be something quite special.”

The four-day long event will also feature the Rheeder Slopestyle, Pump Track Challenges, and the B.C./Canada/Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Continental Cup Downhill competitions.

The full schedule can be found here.

“It’s going to be an action-packed weekend filled with big air, fast berms, and some of the world’s best riders,” Sutherland said.

“This is the weekend of the year to rub shoulders the world’s best top ranked mountain bikers, right here on our doorstep and it’s all free to watch.”

People wishing to participate in the Crankworx events can register online here.
