A different, and free way to go vote in Kelowna on Monday.

E-scooter and e-bike rental company Lime is offering two free 30-minute rides on Election Day so no one can feel excluded because of a lack of wheels.

There are no other free transit options for Kelowna on Monday.

Lime said it is working with youth organization Apathy is Boring to remove the transportation barriers.

To participate, riders can use the code ‘WECANVOTE’.

“Our goal is to support the communities we serve, and making it easier to cast a ballot is one way we can make a difference,” Sonia Kandola, Senior Director of Government Relations at Lime, said in a media release.

” We believe in encouraging participation in democracy and are proud to offer Canadians a free ride to and from their polling place. With so many key issues at stake, it’s especially important for young voters to have their voices heard,” she said, in part.
