Apr 21, 2025 | 10:27 AM

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP have asked the public for assistance as they investigate a shooting incident.

Police said one person was injured in what appeared to be an isolated shooting in the 4000-block of 25th St. around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 16.

The initial investigation led police to believe there were two male suspects, who were seen fleeing the scene on foot.

One of the men was wearing a red sweater with a puffy vest, and had shoulder-length curly hair. The other was wearing a white hooded sweater.

Investigators also received reports that an older model, beige, Toyota Sienna van was observed in the area and occupied by two people reportedly wearing hockey masks.

Anyone with information about the shooting, including the identity or whereabouts of the suspects, were asked to call the RCMP at 250-545-7171.
