Canada Post strike risk:Go to eBilling

Apr 20, 2025 | 8:49 AM

The City of Kelowna is calling on anyone who may still be on paper billing to go digital, to avoid possible disruption from possible Canada Post labour action.

Customers, homeowners, or business owners receiving City of Kelowna bills by mail, might be affected by a Canada Post mail disruption next month.

Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) have until May 22 to reach a new agreement, or the strike that halted mail service for a month during the holiday season could resume.

In a media release, the City said signing up for eBilling would avoid mail delivery delays and late fees. It’s free, and you’ll never miss another utility bill, property tax notice, or business licensing invoice, the City said.
