Reservoir Reconstruction

Enderby to implement Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Apr 17, 2025 | 10:27 AM

Enderby residents have been asked to conserve water whenever possible this spring and summer.

The city will implement Stage 2 Water Restrictions Thursday, May 1, as it rebuilds the oldest of its two reservoirs.

Under the restrictions, residents will be limited to watering their lawn to two days a week for a maximum of two hours between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and there will be limits on automatic irrigation. Additional watering days will be provided for drip irrigation and hand watering of plants, trees, lawns, shrubs, landscaping and flowers, as well as watering for food security purposes.

The days people will be permitted to water will depend on their addresses, with more information found on the City of Enderby website.

While the reservoir is being rebuilt, the community will rely entirely on the second reservoir for domestic and emergency use, and the city asked people to limit their water use as much as possible.

Reconstruction of the reservoir was expected to be completed in late September.
