Vernon has over $40M in carryover projects

The City of Vernon has tens-of-millions of dollars worth of projects carrying over from the previous year.
A report to Vernon City Council stated it had infrastructure carryovers (IC) from 2024 that valued $18,391,164, along with special project carryovers (SPC) that amounted to $21,658,780.
Those include multi-million dollar projects such as:
- $17,268,033 for the Active Living Centre (SPC)
- $2,016,926 to replace two, and purchase two more, dump trucks (SPC)
- $2,007,768 for a Priority Drainage Improvements project in the Smith Creek area (IC)
- $1,693,903 for the Polson Park Creek Naturalization project (IC)
- $1,256,387 for Okanagan Lake access site development (IC)
- $1,095,379 for a Master Transportation Plan update (IC)
