Water Outage Planned for April 15

Pump station work to affect water service for Coldstream-area properties

Apr 9, 2025 | 3:02 PM

Select properties in the northeast end of Coldstream will be without water for several hours Tuesday.

Greater Vernon Water said planned work at the Warren Road pump station would result in area properties being without water from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 15.

As a result of the work, a 12-hour Boil Water Notice will be issued for properties between 6551 and 7419 Buchanan Road, 10045 to 10512 Warren Road, 6173 to 6205 Highway 6, and 6223 to 6257 Highway 6.

GVW advised people to store water for drinking, cooking, toilets and animals prior to the shutdown Tuesday.

Once water service resumes, people should bring their tap water to roiling boil for a full minute before drinking, using to prepare or cook food or drink, and brushing teeth.

GVW noted the work may result in increased turbidity in the water or air in pipes. In those cases people should run the cold taps until the pressure returns and the water runs clear, with GVW advising people use an outdoor tap for this process.
