A man charged in relation to an arrest in December has plead guilty to the majority of charges.

Dale Babiy appeared in Vernon court Friday, April 4.

The B.C. Prosecution Service told Vernon Matters Babiy plead guilty to one count of flight from police, one count of dangerous driving, and one count of possession of stolen property valued $5,000 or more. He did not plead guilty on the final charge of driving while prohibited.

Babiy was arrested after police allegedly used a spike strip to stop him in a stolen vehicle, then had to chase him down on foot.

He will be back in Vernon court July 9 to schedule a sentencing hearing.

Babiy will also be due in court that day to schedule sentencing for a case of assault with a weapon and uttering threats. He was found guilty of those charges in a trial in Vernon in March.
