Downtown Vernon laneway closures to take effect Monday

Utility work in downtown Vernon is scheduled to begin Monday and cause laneways to be closed.

Starting as early as 7 a.m. April 7, laneways east of 30th Street between 28th and 29th Avenues will be fully closed for underground utility work.

The city said there would be no vehicle access to these laneways during construction, which may affect access and travel through the downtown core.

The work was expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Friday, April 18.
