Vernon implements load restrictions

The City of Vernon put load restrictions in place Thursday, March 6.

As per the traffic bylaw, all roads within the municipal boundary were limited to a legal axle loading of 70 per cent.

The city stated that overwheight permits would not be granted, and all existing overwheight permits would be temporarily invalid until the load restriction has been lifted.

The public and trucking companies were advised to plan their trips to ensure they comply with the regulations.
