Smart and Caring Community Grant applications to be accepted through March

Organizations in the North Okanagan wishing to access some funding will have an opportunity next month.

Community Foundation North Okanagan (CFNO) will accept applications for the 2025 Smart & Caring Community Grants program from March 1st to 31st.

CFNO has $300,000 to be distributed through the program to support initiatives aimed at addressing health, social, cultural, educational, and environmental needs.

“This grant program allows us to support a wide variety of community needs, from food security and mental wellness to environmental sustainability and education,” Leanne Hammond, Executive Director of Community Foundation North Okanagan said.

“Every year, we are inspired by the innovative and impactful projects that local organizations bring forward.”

The CFNO distributed a total of $358,465 to 33 organizations through th program in 2024.

The Smart & Caring Community Grants program will accept applications from registered charities and qualified organizations looking to run projects and initiatives that address key issues facing the North Okanagan.
