Vernon offering free recreation for Family Day

The City of Vernon will offer free recreation opportunities to mark Family Day.

The city will offer free swims and family skating on Feb. 17.

The free Family Day swim will be offered at the Vernon Aquatic Centre from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Free ice skating will be offered at Kal Tire Place from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The city stated it applied for, but did not receive money from the province to support Family Day activities in Vernon.
