Gas prices in Vernon soar on Thursday

The price at the pumps jumped on Thursday.

According to GasBuddy, the average price for regular gasoline in Vernon was $1.74 per litre as of Thursday, marking a 15-cent increase from $1.59 per litre recorded on both Feb. 6 and Jan. 30.

It was also up 19 cents per litre on a monthly basis, and 31 cents when compared to the same date the previous year.

GasBuddy also reported that the average fuel price in Kelowna was $1.74 per litre on Thursday, marking an 11-cent increase from the previous day.
