Vitali Stefanski will be appearing in court again next month.

Stefanski, accused of second degree murder of his ex-wife, entered a request for a trial by judge and jury, with a preliminary inquiry, on Oct. 30.

Stefanski was back in Vernon court Wednesday, Nov. 6, to schedule a pretrial conference .

The B.C. Prosecution Service said that conference was scheduled for Dec. 30, 2024. Stefanski will appear virtually, but the matter will be prosecuted in Vernon.

Stefanski was charged in the death of Tatjana Stefanski, who was reported missing from her home in Lumby in April of 2024.

Her body was discovered in a rural area the following day and Vitali was arrested, though charges weren’t laid until a later date.
