Kal Beach Pier repairs approved, will cost an additional $34K

Repairs to the pier at Kalamalka Beach are going ahead, with the possibility of federal funding assisting with the costs.

District of Coldstream Council voted in favour of undertaking repairs to the pier.

The work will involve the installation of steel pipes, treated wood beams and composite decking material.

The project was originally estimated to cost $516,416, but it was determined that an additional 20 steel pipes were required, which brought the cost up to $550,416.

Council agreed to move ahead with the project with the additional pipes.
