The Rock the Lake summer concert in Kelowna had a record breaking turnout this year.

A representative of the GSL Group, the company that organizes the summer concert series in Kelowna, said they didn;t have exact figures but it was estimated that 15,000 fans attended the three day event.

That early figure was up 14 per cent from the turnout in 2023.

With that record turnout, the organizers plan to host the festival again in July of 2025.

We are grateful and excited by the turnout we saw from the local and wider music community for Rock The Lake 2024,” Mike Strawn, VP & General Manager of Sports, Media and Entertainment for GSL Group, said in a release.

“Our staff worked hard to put on an incredible show, headlined with amazing talent. We introduced so many changes this year to grow the festival to new audiences and enhance the RTL experience, and despite the heat, we welcomed more people than ever before to rock out together in downtown Kelowna. GSL Group is proud to bring Rock The Lake back next summer, even better and bigger than this year.”

The GSL Group did not announce any bands or performers for next year’s music festival, saying instead the lineup “will be released soon.”
