A wildfire that sparked near West Kelowna is suspected of being caused by a downed power line.

That’s according to an investigation by the West Kelowna Fire Rescue.

The wildfire started shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, August 18, near the Glenrosa/Highway 97 interchange.

The fire was a little over 0.1 hectares and burned grass and trees, but crews from the city’s four fire stations were able to control it before it threatened any structures.
