Elections B.C. is reminding voters get ready for the next election by making sure their registration is up to date.

The next provincial election in B.C. is scheduled for October 19, and non-partisan office encourages people register online or by calling 1-800-661-8683. Registration drives will also be held at various locations across the province in September.

“Making sure your voter registration information is up to date is one of the best ways to get ready for the provincial election,” Chief Electoral Officer Anton Boegman stated.

“Voting will be faster and easier if your information is current, and you’ll get a Where to Vote card from Elections B.C. after the election is called.”

Elections B.C. will mail out voter registration notices to British Columbians in the coming week, asking people to ensure their information is up to date.

The organization noted there will be 93 electoral districts for the 2024 election, up from 87 in the past, and people can learn about the riding where they live at the Elections B.C. website.

The provincial election is scheduled to be called on September 21. Advance voting will go from October 10 to 13, and on October 15 and 16. Final Voting Day will be on October 19.
