Trial of former Vernon chiropractor underway

A former chiropractor accused of sexual assault is in court this week.
The trial of Murray Kievet, accused of two charges of sexual assault, began Tuesday, August 6, at the Vernon courthouse. The B.C. Prosecution Service said the trial is scheduled to continue through to Friday, August 9.
The two charges stem from allegations made by a patient in December of 2021.
Kievet was working as chiropractor when the alleged incident occurred. His registration was permanently cancelled by the College of Chiropractors of B.C. in 2023.
