Work on Tronson Road to require detour

A temporary detour will be in effect for a select portion of Tronson Road Thursday.

Tronson Road will be closed to through traffic between Palmer and Scott Roads as early as 7 a.m. August 1 as crews do some culvert and ditching work along the road.

Detours will be in place via Scott and Palmer Roads while the work is complete, which is expected to take up to two days, weather permitting.

Local and business traffic will be maintained during the work, though there will be no on-street parking in the affected area.

The City of Vernon noted there may be some traffic delays in the area, and advised motorists to be cautious of work crews and equipment, slow down, and follow all traffic control measures.
