Vernon Jazz Club celebrating 25 years with series of performances

There will be beboping, noodling, and grooving sounds in Vernon’s downtown core as the Vernon Jazz Club celebrates it’s 25th anniversary.

In celebrating the milestone anniversary season, the Vernon Jazz Club will host a handful of gigs from September through December.

The headline acts for the 25th year of providing live jazz music in the North Okanagan are:

  • Fernando Gonzalez and the Mexi-Canadians Quartet, with special guest Flor Aguilar – Sep. 7
  • Steve Maddock Blues Sextet – Sep. 21
  • Dan Brubeck Trio – Oct. 5
  • Jennifer Scott Quartet – Nov. 2
  • McMahon Music Experiment – Nov. 16
  • Nelson Jazz Collective – Nov. 30
  • B3Kings with Denzal Sinclaire, Bill Coon, Chris Gestrin and Cory Weeks – Dec. 18
  • Cat Wells Blue Band – Dec. 13

Founded in 1999, the Vernon Jazz Club said it is just one of three jazz primary clubs in British Columbia. It was also the 2022 nominee for best live music venue in the Okanagan Valley.
