Sicamous product among inductees to Hockey Hall of Fame
A hockey star who was born and raised in Sicamous is among the Hockey Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024.
Shea Weber is one of seven inductees this year.
Weber started his hockey career with the KIJHL Sicamous Eagles in the 2000-01 and ’01-’02 seasons. He was then picked up by the Kelowna Rockets, and was part of the team that won the Memorial Cup in 2004.
In the 2005-06 season Weber turned pro, joining the Nashville Predators who drafted him in the second round, 49th overall in 2003.
