UPDATE:
2:30 p.m.

RCMP say a vehicle belonging to a high risk missing 79-year old man reported earlier has been located near Beaver Lake Road and Dee Lake Road in the Lake Country area.

Alan Francescutti of Kelowna has not been seen since April 16. He was last seen leaving Kelowna’s Lower Mission area in his truck, a black or dark blue 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 Classic quad cab with Warlock trim package, front and rear mud flaps, and B.C. license plate 8847BH.

Police are asking the public to remain out of that particular area where officers and Central Okanagan Search and Rescue are searching to try and locate the missing man who is not with his vehicle.

“It is important that people don’t saturate the area and interfere with our initial search,” Cpl. Michael Gauthier, media relations unit, said.

“We have several resources right now looking for the missing man, including air services, PDS, drones and Search and Rescue.”
