Stolen vehicles from Oliver, Vernon, Kamloops found on Tk’emlups property
RCMP have discovered a gathering spot for stolen vehicles on the Tk’emlups Reserve near Kamloops.
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says the discovery came on April 2, as police investigated the theft of a Volvo sedan from the 100-block of Clarke Street.
Frontline officers from the Tk’emlups detachment tracked down the Volvo at an address in the 600-block of Shuswap Road.
The Kamloops Crime Reduction Unit was called in and five other stolen vehicles were found at the site, from several communities in the B.C. Interior, as well as a stolen travel trailer. Officers also found a loaded handgun on site.
