Vernon’s sani-dump set to open in mid-April

Vernon’s new RV sani-dump station will be opening for the spring and summer.

The City of Vernon said the facility, located at 6401 Tronson Road near the Vernon Regional Airport, will be available for use starting April 15.

It was noted that, if the region experiences extended sub-zero overnight temperatures, the opening date may be delayed.

The site features four waste dumping and water filling stations, with enough stacking distance to accomodate around 14 recreational vehicles at once.

The site has one-way access, and users are asked to enter the east entrance and exit on the west side.

Garbage must be packed out of the site as the city is not providing a garbage service at the stations.

There is a $4 dumping fee for using the station, which can be paid in cash at the deposit box or by using pay-by-phone with location #4736.

Once open, the RV sani-dump will be available from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, for the summer season.
