BC Cancer Foundation reps promote monthly donor program in Vernon

Greater Vernon residents may get a knock on their door from BC Cancer Foundation canvassers this spring.

The representatives, who wear ID badges and BC Cancer Foundation teal vests, are going door-to-door in the area promoting the monthly donor program.

“Monthly donations support life-saving cancer research and innovations to patient care taking place at BC Cancer, helping to change outcomes for people facing cancer across B.C.,” Colleen Hamilton, communications specialist, said.

Hamilton said the canvassers will invite residents to take part in the monthly giving program only, and will not accept cash at the door.

Anyone who signs up for monthly giving will receive an email confirmation immediately.
