The group that represents realtors in the B.C. Interior has a new leader.

The Association of Interior Realtors said Kaytee Sharun, a licensed realtor practicing in the Kootenays, has been elected president for a one year term.

She will lead a ten-person board of directors and succeeds Chelsea Mann in the role.

Sharun said she is incredibly honoured to take on the position.

“My focus is unwavering: ensuring every member receives the support and representation they deserve. We’re industry leaders, and it’s a journey I’m excited to embark on with our dedicated members,” Sharun said.

Sharun, a Kootenay native, has been involved in the real estate industry since 2012. Her leadership journey began in 2019 when she joined forces with the Kootenay Association of Realtors as a board member. In 2022 she was elected by her peers to serve as a director for the Association of Interior Realtors, and in 2023 she was elected as vice-president of the association.

Kadin Rainville of Kamloops is the new vice-president, while Mann will continue serving as a director in the role of past president.

Sharun, Rainville and Mann are joined by newly elected directors Scott Andruschak, Tracy Danbrook, Ken Davreux, Ryan Mayne, Tamara Stone and Gavin Thomas.

The full 2024/2025 board of directors also includes Don Gagnon and Steve Jamieson.

The board supports the work of about 2,600 Interior BC realtors for areas including the Okanagan Valley, Kootenay, Kamloops and District, as well as the South Peace River region.
