Gas prices jump by 16 cents per litre

Greater Vernon saw fuel prices jump overnight.

The price tracking website GasBuddy reported regular gasoline prices in Vernon cost an average of $1.59.9 per litre Wednesday, Feb. 7, up 16 cents from Tuesday’s average price of $1.43.9/L.

GasBuddy reported the price of regular fuel was also 12 cents more per litre from the average on January 7, though was four cents less than the average of $1.63.9/L on Feb. 7, 2023.

According to GasBuddy data, the average price per litre for regular gasoline in British Columbia was $1.60.3/L Wednesday. That was up 1.3 cents from Tuesday’s average, and was down 10.5 cents annually.

Nationally, the average price of regular gasoline in Canada was $1.44.4/L, which was up 1.6 cents from Tuesday’s average and down 1.3 cents from the same date in 2023.
