New ‘intermittent’ delays at Highway 97 slide site

Motorists using Highway 97 between Kelowna and Penticton should be prepared for more delays at the former slide site north of Summerland.
The road contractor, AIM Roads, has announced there will be 15 to 20 minute unscheduled intermittent closures at that location between Callan Road and North Beach Road.
“These closures will continue for the duration of the project. Scheduled blasting or other closures will continue to be posted in advance,” the company posted.
The next scheduled closure for blasting will be on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
