The Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE) will be incorporating the theme ‘Denim in the Dirt’ into its 2024 event in Armstrong.

The agricultural fair creates a unique theme each year, and the 123rd edition will bring together the sewing, quilting and fancywork division with denim.

“Quilting has been part of the fair since the beginning, and we felt that since denim and jeans have also been a part of the farming and rodeo lifestyle for decades, the combination is perfect,” Heather King, general manager, said in a release.

Guests, vendors, businesses and parade entries and watchers are encouraged to turn out in their denim, be they dark, light, acid wash, or full of holes, and celebrate the 123rd Interior Provincial Exhibition.

“Afterall…agriculture is in our ‘jeans,’” King added.

The IPE fair and rodeo will run in Armstrong from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1, 2024.
