Ski season set to start at Big White

Big White will finally be able to launch its new season Friday morning, which will be 60 years to the day since the resort opened.

The resort received over 20 cms of snow since Wednesday, increasing the base to 67 cms.

“We now have enough base to now get a few lifts open and a selection of green and blue runs,” Michael J. Ballingall, Senior VP Sales & Marketing, said.

All lift tickets will be 50 per cent off until further notice. The resort will extend the season by one week with the last day of operation now Sunday, April 14.

  • The Ridge Rocket, the Bullet chair, the Plaza chair and Lara’s gondola will open at 8:45 a.m. Friday, December 8.
  • Ski & board school, rental shop, retail shops, Ridge Day Lodge, Happy Valley Day Lodge, The Woods Restaurant, Clocktower Coffee Company and a variety of other on mountain restaurants and services will all be open. View opening day/weekend hours of operation.
