Gallery hosts Halloween House Party

Oct 21, 2023 | 3:00 PM

Music, food and fun are on the bill for The Halloween House Party at the Vernon Public Art Gallery on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The gallery and Wooley and Co. are teaming to host the “spookiest night of the year” from 8 to 11 p.m.

“This Art After Dark event is not for the faint-hearted! Dress to impress in your most creative and terrifying costumes as we’ll be awarding prizes for the best dressed,” a news release on the event stated.

The costume contest will be run by Sauve Boutique. Attendees can also peek at their future with a tarot card reading by Pranic Forest Apothocary, or create an original artwork inspired by the current exhibitions: Illuminating Language by Dick Averns and A Visual Journey by Doris Charest on view at the VPAG.

“Come be a part of the VPAG’s transformation into the spooky Halloween themed world. We are thrilled to be partnering with these incredible businesses and want to thank Woolley and Co for continuing to sponsor the Art After Dark events,” Dauna Kennedy, VPAG executive director, said.

DJ Covenant Lion will be spinning tunes to allow people to dance the night away, while Okanagan Spirits Craft Distilery will be serving up wickedly delicious cocktails, and Two Sparrows Pizza & Catering food truck will be on location.

“Tickets range from $20 – $35 depending if you are a member at the VPAG. To find out more about becoming a member, click here.
