The Vernon Vipers continued their hot start to the BC Hockey League season Wednesday, staging a dramatic comeback to beat the West Kelowna Warriors 4-3 in overtime.

The Vipers erased a 3-1 deficit with three straight goals including the winner from captain Connor Elliott 57 seconds into OT.

It was the Viper’s 7th straight win, upping their record to 7-1.

Julian Facchinelli, Erik Pastro and Georgios Stavrianeas also scored for Vernon before a crowd of 757 fans at Royal LePage Place.

Ethan David got the win in net, making 21 saves.

“We didn’t have our best showing tonight, but we never gave up,” Connor Elliott told vernonvipers.com. “We managed to battle our way back into the game and were rewarded with the OT win. We know we need to play better on Friday.”

Isaiah Norlin led the Warriors (6-3) with a goal and one assist.

The Vipers host the Warriors for a rematch Friday night at Kal Tire Place.
