Playground equipment being installed in Coldstream parks

Two parks in Coldstream will have new amenities for kids to play.

The District of Coldstream said new playground equipment is being installed at Lavington Park and Coldstream Park.

The work to install the new equipment will begin Sunday, Oct. 15, and is expected to be complete Friday, Oct. 20.

Park users are advised to avoid the areas cleared out for the new playground and to stay away from the machinery.

Coldstream Park will be closed at the bridge for safety reasons until the construction is complete, but the rest of the park will be open and accessible.

The new playground equipment is geared towards children aged 18 months to five years and includes new climbing, swinging and interactive elements.

Lavington Park remains closed for bookings as a new irrigation system is being installed.
