Oktoberfest event moved to 1516 Pub and Grill
The annual Oktoblerfest hosted by Okanagan Spring Brewery brewmaster Stefan Tobler is moving from Wings Restaurant in Vernon to the 1516 Pub and Grill in Okanagan Landing.
The celebration of German heritage takes place this Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, with the ceremonial tapping of the keg set for Friday evening.
“This is our third annual Oktoblerfest. The first two were at Wings Vernon but we are now moving it to our beer mecca at 1516 Pub and Grill, where the name is based on the Purity Law of the year 1516. And, of course, it is OkTOBLERfest to honor the Tobler family who started Okanagan Spring Brewery in Vernon in 1985,” 1516 co-owner Katie Dahl said. “Stefan Tobler is the current brewmaster of Okanagan Spring Brewery and will be giving a special presentation and kicking of the party on Friday.”
Beer and Oktoblerfest food fans can come enjoy the festivities – no cover charge and lots of specials. There is a prize for best dressed couple.
