Sep 5, 2023 | 11:30 AM
The Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre has rescinded all remaining evacuation alerts for properties in Lake Country and the City of Kelowna.
The evacuation orders and alerts remain in place in West Kelowna, Westbank First Nation and Electoral Area West due to the McDougall Creek wildfire, which remains out of control.
As for those remaining properties on alert or order, the regional district said crews “are working diligently to remove hazards, restore infrastructure and reduce fire risk to make areas safe to return to.”
At last update, there were 405 properties still on evacuation order due to the McDougall Creek fire.
