Member milestone for Co-op in Vernon

Aug 28, 2023 | 2:10 PM

The numbers are impressive: 10,000 members over seven years.

That’s how many customers have signed up as members of the Armstrong Regional Co-op (ARC) since it expanded into Vernon in 2016.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we are proud of the achievements we’ve made, and we want to thank all of our Co-op members for your ongoing support,” Jason Keis, ARC marketing and sales manager, said.

“We’ve seen a lot of changes over the years, but one thing remains the same, namely our values to be locally invested, community minded and lifetime membership benefits.”

Keis said they were proud to present Doe — the 10,000th Co-op member to sign up in Vernon — with a Co-op prize pack.

Since 2016, the support of members has given the Co-op the opportunity to expand inside Vernon with a new gas bar on 32nd Street, an ARC Liquor location across from Wal Mart and an outdoor storage on 25th Avenue.

ARC said it has more than 30,000 members, as well as many more customers, at all of its operations in the Okanagan, Shuswap and Kootenays.
