Buy a Blizzard today (Aug. 10) at Dairy Queen and you will be helping out a vital and well-respected organization.

A total of 122 DQ locations across B.C. will donate net proceeds from every Blizzard treat sold to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, for the 21st annual DQ Miracle Treat Day.

The participating DQ locations in the Okanagan include in Vernon at 4209 32nd Street, on 25th Street NE in Salmon Arm, 10074 Highway 97 in Lake Country, six locations in Kelowna and two in West Kelowna.

DQ Miracle Treat Day benefits Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across Canada. Participating Canadian stores raised over two million dollars for Children’s Miracle Network in 2022, including $278,140 for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, which is one of 13 Children’s Miracle Network hospital foundations.

“Purchasing a Blizzard at Dairy Queen on Miracle Treat Day is a fun, easy, and tasty way for British Columbians to support BC Children’s Hospital Foundation,” Rita Thodos, executive vice-president, philanthropy at BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, said.

Thodos said last year, over 130,000 kids and youth depended on BC Children’s Hospital.
