Over a thousand properties on the west side of Okanagan Lake lost power Tuesday morning.

B.C. Hydro said power went out for 1,241 customers in the OKIB and the Westside Rd. area at 10:20 a.m. August 8.
The outage spans from the Fisbee Creek area, just north of Killiney Beach, to well up Six Mile Creek Rd.

The Crown corporation did not provide an estimated time for when power would be restored.
The other outage seen on the map above is affecting five customers on Bench Row Rd. in the Okanagan Landing area of Vernon.
Power went out there at 10:52 a.m. and crews were assigned to the outage at 11:04 a.m.
The cause of the outage and the timeline for having power restored there was not disclosed.
