A boater out on Okanagan Lake has found a Sea-Doo and is hoping to return it to its rightful owner.

Scott Shearer told Vernon Matters he came across the watercraft Monday, July 31.

“We found the Sea-Doo at Ellison Park in the second bay closest to the Outback and it was just washed up on the rocks,” Shearer said.

“The way the wind was blowing [Sunday] night I’m suspecting somebody along Westside Road might have lost it.”

He noted there was no identification on the Sea-Doo aside from the call letters.

Shearer attached the Sea-Doo to his own boat and as of 1:30 p.m. Monday was planning to tow it to the Vernon Yacht Club.

He said anyone missing their Sea-Doo and could identify the watercraft could call him at 403-813-6136.
