UPDATE:

The BC Lottery Corporation says a Kamloops resident who won $35 million in the July 25 Lotto Max draw will be introduced at a news conference Thursday, July 27, at 1 p.m.

Original story

A lottery ticket sold in Kamloops has produced another multi-millionaire.

According to Lotto Max’s online prize breakdown, one of two tickets matching all seven numbers for Tuesday’s (July 25) $70 million draw was sold in Kamloops. The other ticket was sold in Alberta. The winner of the Kamloops ticket takes home $35 million.

It’s the first time in two years that a Lotto Max jackpot winner purchased their ticket in Kamloops.

The winning jackpot numbers were: 15, 16, 17, 18, 43, 44, and 48.

The odds of winning a Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play.

In addition to the Lotto Max jackpot, two tickets in B.C. – one sold in Vancouver and one sold in Delta – each won a Maxmillions prize of $1 million.

Another ticket sold in Shuswap split a Maxmillions prize with a player in Ontario, scoring $500,000.
