The cordoned-off area was within a clearing in the wooded area off Highway 97 along Hospital Hill, approximately half a block up from the Polson Park Motel.

The area appeared to have been a sort of homeless encampment as there were some items like clothes, a shopping cart and a chair in the vicinity.

Vernon Matters has reached out to the RCMP with a request for more information.
