Vernon hockey product skating at Maple Leafs pre-camp
Vernon hockey player Deagan McMillan wasn’t taken in the recent NHL draft, but that doesn’t mean interest has waned in the talented 6’2″, 200 pound centre.
McMillan, a forward with the Western Hockey League’s Tri City Americans, appeared on Central Scouting’s list for the first time this year, at 108th among North American skaters.
McMillan, 18, totaled 47 points (17-30-47) along with 54 penalty minutes through 65 games this season, improving from just seven points (3-4-7) over 45 games last year.
The Toronto Maples Leafs liked what they saw this season and invited McMillan to a development camp on now in Toronto.
