Pay in-person, by mail, or through the bank

Property taxes due July 4

Jun 5, 2023 | 11:09 AM

Vernon residents have just over a month to pay their municipal taxes.

The City of Vernon said property tax notices were sent out by mail in May, and residents have until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4, to pay.

Anyone who did not received their notice is advised to check their email or their MyCity account.

People can pay their property taxes in-person at City Hall, but those wishing to avoid the lines can also pay online through their financial institutions, by cheque through the mail, or by using the 24-hour drop box at City Hall’s front entrance.

Eligible Vernonites wishing to claim Homeowner Grants also have until July 4 to submit an application with the Province of B.C. Government. Details on that process can be found online or by speaking to a live agent at 1-888-355-2700.
