Affordable option for recreation programs rolling out in Armstrong-Spallumcheen

Armstrong-Spallumcheen Parks and Recreation is removing barriers for people to access services.

An affordable access pass is being introduced that will allow individuals and families to use select drop-in services such as the seasonal outdoor pool, ice skating or roller skating.

The program will provide eligible people with a 75 per cent discount on select activities and free entry for caregivers.

Qualifications for the pass include receiving regular income assistance benefits, having a disability (person with disability), or have persistent multiple barriers (PPMB).

People interested in the affordable access pass can learn more about the program by calling the Armstrong Spallumcheen Parks and Recreation Commission at 250-546-9456, or visiting the office in person at 3351 Park Drive in Armstrong.
