Kelowna golf course sold to Vernon company

Kelowna’s Tower Ranch Golf and Country Club has been purchased by Durali Properties, a Vernon-based company, from Edmonton-based Carrington Group of Companies.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Tower is Kelowna’s top ranked public golf course, according to ScoreGOLF magazine, and is a top 100 course in Canada.

Dan Slaven, CEO of the Carrington Group of Companies said they are thankful for the time they have owned and operated Tower Ranch.

“We are grateful for the many staff that we have worked with over the past number of years, who have developed Tower Ranch to be one of the best golf courses in the Okanagan and voted the number one public golf course in Kelowna. We know Durali Properties will continue to operate Tower Ranch as an exceptional golf course and continue to be a highlight in the community,” Slaven said.

The 10,000 square foot clubhouse features a golf shop, Carrington’s Restaurant and Patio and a full fitness facility. It is used in the off-season for weddings and other parties.

Durali properties owner Gurjit Jhajj also owns Sunset Ranch Golf Course in Kelowna along with numerous other holdings including Durali Villa on Old Kamloops Road in Vernon, a number of Subway restaurants, hotels and other businesses.
