Most expensive homes in region

A residential property in the District of Lake Country is the most expensive in the Thompson-Okanagan.

B.C. Assessment reports the single family home at 12990 Pixton Rd. has a total taxable value of $17.3 million.

That tops the agency’s 100 most expensive residential properties in the Thompson-Okanagan list for 2023.

The site in Lake Country’s waterfront neighbourhood is followed by two properties on Hobson Rd. in Kelowna which are valued at $14.6 million and $13.5 million, respectively.

B.C Assessment reported the highest valued property in Coldstream was a residence at 12407 Coldstream Creek Rd. valued at $12.2 million. It was ranked sixth on the list of 100 most expensive properties in the region.

The home on Kalamalka Lake is currently listed for sale for $19.9 million.

Coldstream had one other property appear on the list, at 8200 Kalavista Drive, valued at $9.3 million (29th).

A home at 7520 Tronson Rd., listed at $6.8 million, was the highest valued property in Vernon. It placed 97th on the top 100 list.

No other North Okanagan properties made the list.

The City of Kelowna had the most representation on the regional list with 73 properties.

Comparatively, B.C. Assessment said the most expensive residential property in the province was located in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood and valued at $74 million.
