Stabbing in Penticton now a homicide
RCMP are investigating a stabbing earlier this month in Penticton as a homicide after the victim died as a result of his injuries.
It was believed earlier the victim was expected to survive, however, in the days that followed, his condition changed and he succumbed to his injuries.
“The family of the victim has been connected with RCMP Victim Services and are being supported through this tragic event,” said Constable Dayne Lyons, media relations officer. “The investigation has made significant progress in the days since the initial incident. We are confident to say that the public is not at risk as our investigation continues.”
This incident took place on Dec. 17 in the 300 block of Martin Street in a busy area around 5 p.m.
