New COVID-19 outbreak at Polson Extended Care

Vernon’s Polson Extended Care is undergoing its second COVID-19 outbreak in less than 20 days.

Interior Health stated the outbreak in the facility within the Polson Care Home was declared on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

This is the second outbreak at the facility in September. The previous one lasted from Sept. 9 to 17 and resulted in one death.

Interior Health said the entire long-term care facility is affected by the current outbreak.
